I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
